As I woke up this morning...the image of my brother clenching his fist flashed before my eyes. And continued to do so all day. So, I said #^&! it...Let's open it up and see what becomes of it.
Then, I closed my eyes...tuned into the sound that rain makes when it hits the top of a car...and relived the first and only moment I've seen a tear run down the side of my father's face...trying to catch his mumbled words of 1,000 emotions all trying to escape at once...standing in the rain...and saluting his baby boy as the car drove off without him. That memory has been etched into my brain forever...
I love you, Baby Bear... I love you, Poppadukes...
This is a shoot I did a while back, but never edited it.....why....I have no idea?! But....I'm in love with these images. You killed it, ladies! Thank youuuuuuu
Seems like forever since I've posted anything on here...well...I managed to spend the few hours I had off work to go through some old work and put something up. These shots were taken in Arizona when I went to visit my little brother, Baby Bear, who is in the military.
I'm sure I've said it before...and I'll say it again...contradiction in the ISH! I can't get enough of it...once I saw this "House of Beauty" ... I fell in love.
A few images from a photoshoot with Lewis Abercrombie @ Prana. By far the most fun I've had shooting in a long, long time. Lewis......you killed it, bro. Thanks, again, for giving the chance to work with you.

This is an easy one to write about....BEST DAMN BBQ SAUCES, DRESSINGS, JAMS, SPREADS, AND HOT SAUCES I've ever tasted. Hands down....I'm so glad I got to shoot these. Eating everything afterwards was the best part...hahaha. Thank you so much, Carlsbad Gourmet!
Amazingly amazing furniture by the guys down @ Mabuno. Their pieces are very creative, sleek and functional at the same time. If you want to view more pieces from this project, go to http://www.flickr.com/photos/bradsmith251/sets/ and click on the "Mabuno" set. Please check these guys out on the web...you won't be disappointed.
(Top Image) The first and only image I've put up on this blog without ever taking into Photoshop. This isn't like me at all...but, I just couldn't edit it because it looked just as it should.
I've been depriving myself of images of self-portraits. I found myself with some time to kill while processing out a few thousand images...maybe more...but, I love this truck that's outside my house and I just put the two together. I'm not considering this as the final...just a quick edit in LightRoom...I'll take this puppy in Photoshop when I get some free time.
A fence outside my house that casts some really awkward shadows at a certain time in the day...and is only visible for about 30 mins. I liked the straightness of the boards with the curves of the shadows.
My brother's graduation from bootcamp was the most inspirational moments of my life. Baby Bear...I will never be able to put in words how happy and proud of you I am.
I haven't shed tears of happiness like that in a long time...
I really do love the rain...and all the other weather we were constantly getting when I was growing up in Maryland. We don't get enough weather here in San Diego, so I wanted some shots to remind myself of what the summer storms looked like.
